About the CEO
Helen Giddings is the founder, President, and CEO of Multiplex, Inc. Helen brings a wealth of business acumen and leadership expertise to Multiplex, Inc. As a business owner, she has been featured in the Dallas Morning News, Jet Magazine, Eclipse Magazine, Black Enterprise, and many other publications.
Prior to establishing Multiplex, Inc., Helen was an executive with Sears with responsibility for human resources, diversity, and public affairs. As a member of the executive team, she was accountable for an 11-state area. Helen also served as Vice President of Leadership Development for the Greater Dallas Chamber of Commerce. In addition, Helen held executive positions (with a focus on leadership, public affairs, human resources, and diversity) in other for-profit and nonprofit organizations.
Helen is very active in the community. She has extensive, varied, and long-standing community service. Her portfolio of community involvement includes serving on boards in organizations pertaining to women, families, and children; African Americans; health; employment; education; arts and culture; business; transportation; government; and other humanitarian causes.
Helen is a former Chair of the Board of the Dallas Black Chamber of Commerce, a former President of the National Order of Women Legislators, and a former Chair of the Texas Legislative Black Caucus. She has held executive committee positions on numerous boards and commissions.
Currently, she chairs the Women’s Leadership Summit and serves on several boards. Helen also served as a state representative for 26 years in the Texas House of Representatives.
